General English Level 2 GELEV2 Unit 05 Topic 01.doc 2. John: You look happy Susan! Susan: Yes. I’m really looking forward to this weekend. John: Oh? What are you doing? Susan: I’m going to the Blue Mountains. John: Who are you going with? Susan: Some friends from school. John: Well have a great weekend. Susan: Thanks. You too John. 3 Emma: Are you catching the train tonight? Martin: Uh huh! I’m finishing work at 5.30. Do you want to walk to the station with me? Emma: I’m going to the gym tonight so I’m leaving at 5.00. Thanks anyway. Martin: That’s OK. See you tomorrow. Sometimes in conversation, we do not use full sentences. The listener understands what we mean from the rest of the conversation. For example, in the conversations above: ”On Saturday morning” means “They're arriving on Saturday morning.” ”Some friends from school” means “I'm going with some friends from school.” DISCUSSION 06 Plans and arrangements Tell us about some of your plans and arrangements for the future. 1.
