Anyone over the age of 16 can become a CITY SWIMSCHOOL qualified swimming teacher. Thanks for visiting! Courses The Basic Course Must be completed first. Takes place in the classroom. Teaches the background knowledge to the teaching of swimming and water safety. Has a written exam. Cost: $90 Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety to school aged children What you must know about safety. Feeling at home in the water. Cost: $180 Teacher of Infant and Preschool Aquatics Infant health and safety. How to help learners feel at home in the water. Cost: $180 • The Basic Course goes from 9.00am to 5.00pm on most days, and 5.45pm to 9.30pm on 4 nights every month. • The Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety Course goes for 2 days, 8.30 am to 5.30pm every weekend of the month. • The Teacher of Infant and Pre-School Aquatics Course goes for 2 days, 8.30am to 5.30pm, on 2 weekends every month.
