If you find this activity difficult, read the story again.  There is a beautiful country in Europe called the Netherlands.  Dieter noticed there were bubbles of water coming out of a hole in the dyke.  Hans became the Hero of Haarlem.  Dutch people built new dykes.  His brother ran back to the town to get help.  The land in this country is lower than sea.  To stop the water coming through the dyke, Hans put his finger in the dyke.  They worked long and hard to mend the dyke. 142
