The magazine article says that for rock climbing:
You also need to be agile.
This means that if you are not agile, you won't be good at rock climbing.
The magazine article also says that for white water rafting:
You need to be able to swim.
This means that if you can't swim, you shouldn't try white water rafting.
need to is similar to must but less strong

Idioms
The magazine article says:
….you will be a natural at this sport.
This means you will be very good at this sport. It will be easy for you.
Other idioms we use to show ability / inability are:
to be second nature
to come naturally
Examples
Jane learnt to swim when she was very young. It was second nature to her.
He's an excellent skier. It comes naturally to him.
