The mayor is there, as well as sports centre users, neighbours who live near the site of the new sports centre, local shop keepers, teachers at the local school and parents. 1. Take the role of one of the people at the meeting, for example a parent. 2. Work with a partner with the same role as you. 3. Think about the advantages (the good things) and the disadvantages (the problems) of the new sports centre from that person’s perspective. Write them in the boxes. 4. During the meeting, give your opinion. 5. When you are listening to other people giving their opinions, write down the advantages and disadvantages they mention in the other boxes. 6.
