What about work? What's most important to people in the workplace these days? It's
probably not so surprising that most people rank good pay and opportunities the
highest at 22 per cent. But equally important to people, it seems, is the opportunity to
use their skills, this being ranked equal highest. Having good colleagues is ranked
highest by 18 per cent, followed by having a good boss, ranked highest by 15 per cent
of people. Thirteen per cent of respondents rank an enjoyable work culture the highest.
Perhaps surprisingly in our modern culture, training and learning new things is ranked
highest by only 10 per cent of survey respondents.
