Yes. They loved the hotel they stayed at.
2. What did you think of the performance?
Oh, I hated it. It was really boring.
3. How was the party?
Good. I enjoyed seeing everyone.
4. That was a terrible exhibition, wasn't it?
Do you think so? I didn't mind it.
3. Modifiers
Jackie says:
Jackie: …I felt quite disappointed. I mean, they can't sing.
Jackie says:
Jackie: ... after the first hour I was pretty bored.
Jackie uses quite to say how disappointed she was and pretty to say how bored she
was. In these sentences pretty and quite are modifiers.
We can use modifiers to modify (change the meaning of) adjectives - to show how
strong our feelings are.
