Adverbial clauses of concession Claudia says: Claudia: Although they haven't got the best voices, they're good performers. Claudia thinks the Backstreet Boys haven't got good voices but she still thinks they are good performers. These two ideas are opposite – they contrast. She uses, "Although" to start a clause that contrasts with the main clause. Jackie says: Jackie: Yeah, I quite liked the dancing. It was fun, even though they looked a little unsure at times.
