In this activity we will practise matching introductions with supporting reasons.
Part 1. Introductions and supporting paragraphs
1. Read the three introductions.
2. Read the supporting paragraphs.
3. Write the number of the correct introduction next to each supporting
paragraph.
Introductions:

I am writing in response to Mary Way’s letter “Mothers leave children alone”. I
believe that her claim that “working mothers are not good mothers” is totally
wrong.

I don’t believe Theresa Green’s argument that the plan to log Evergreen Forest
will benefit our community. It is my firm belief that the opposite is true.

I strongly disagree with your editorial “Young Criminals Get It Easy”. In my
opinion putting young people in prison for longer periods of time is not the
solution.
